Dental extraction is one of the most common dental procedures performed by dentists worldwide on a daily basis, this is the removal of a tooth or teeth.   For a simple extraction, Dr. Anderson will loosen the tooth with an instrument called an elevator. Then use forceps to remove the tooth.

Teeth are removed for a number of reasons:

  • When tooth is damaged beyond repair from extensive decay, trauma or periodontal diseases.
  • A sound tooth may sometimes be extracted to create space
